April Favorites 2013

My favorites are usually the same every month because I have been on a mission to use up everything I have in my collection. For this reason, I do not get a chance to try new things and have new favorites. What is new in my favorites is:

* Wet n Wild Blusher in Pearlescent Pink:such is suppose to be a dupe for NAR Orgasm. I don't see it but its what everyone says. It is a good change from the Elf Pink Passion Blush I have been obsessed with for months because it is warmer and season appropriate.

* Sephora Mineral Foundation: This was originally my sisters foundation(she's tanned) and she was about to throw it out. So I took it to use a a bronzer and its great. Not to over the top and matte.

*Bath and Body Works lip balm in My Favorites Lip Balm: I stated in a previous bath and body works haul why I purchased this. I'm glad I did. It works well on my dry lips.

BIg Lots Haul

 Big Lots Makeup Wipes are the cheapest Facial Wipes I have found. The 30 pack is a dollar and the 60 is two. All of my roommates use these so we usually stock up.

Shopping my Stash #1

These products are the items that have been pushed to the back of my draws and have been forgotten about.  The main reason for this is because I do not like some of them and are regret buys. However, I bought them so I would like to get my moneys worth.

Collective Beauty Haul

Petal Fresh Organics: I have been gradually dying my hair lighter and lighter throughout the year and now my hair is extremely damaged and dry. I got a hair cut last week and the straw like feeling it once had has improved but I am still not happy with the condition of my hair. I have been using all sorts of organic hair produces recently and I am hoping they work.

EOS Lip Balm: I have been wanting to try these bad boys since they came out. However, I could not justify purchasing it with my collection of lip balms. With that said, last week I went on a mini trip for my friends wedding and lost the one lip balm I had bought( the horror) and I finally bought a eos lip balm

Sinful Nail Polish: I frequently visit Nouveau Cheap.com and  saw a post saying sinful nolishes were now being sold at the Dollar Tree. This blue color was the only decent color there so I bought it....Bad news guys. It STAINED my nails. Not like the low key stains red nail polishes give but actual stains. My fingernails were GREEN. Would not repurchase.

Body Shop Coconut Lotion: Not a fan of coconut but my friend convinced me to buy this and I'm glad. its not so bad. I still don't like coconut though.

Lastly, I like floss. LOL

My Samples Stash

I thought this might be a funny post to do. I started sampling about a year ago because I saw so many post by other bloggers on all the free things they were getting from companies and I wanted in. It took a while but I finally learned of a  few websites that had samples available daily. I enjoy sampling because   I am exposed to all sorts of brands that I would have never tried otherwise. I use to use the samples I received everyday but now I keep them for when I travel. They are so convenient for packing and for on the go. I have a trip planned this summer and having to buy travel sized products is one thing I do not have to worry about. *wiping my forehead*

Bath and Body Works Haul

 Hey Guys! 

Soooo if you can not tell I went to Bath and Body works. lol. Last week I went shopping with my mother and decided to walk into the shop to find a lip balm. I have been dealing with very dry lips recently and nothing I have tried worked. I will admit I am not a fan of Bath n Body works lip products because they all feel like vaseline( sticky and thick). However, I found one item that I actually liked. It is called My Favorite Lip Balm and it is, to my knowledge, the only lip product that has 5% shea butter and 2% sweet almond oil. So I bought one to give it a try and did not expect much.Yet, I saw a big difference in my lips within two days of trying it and was so grateful. Thankful for that one purchase made that day the salesperson included a coupon in my bag that said I could get a free lotion/body wash/mist with a minimum of a $10 purchase. I was planning on buying my mother and sister  the lip balm so it turned out great. With each one costing 7.50 I would qualify to get a free lotion. By the way, another deal they have is if you buy 2 lip products you get one free. So in total I was able to get two free purchases(7.50 lip balm+ 11.00 lotion= 18.50 worth of free things.) In addition, I picked up two mini lotions for my handbag.

1. Green Tea Makeup Wipes(60 wipes) for $2 at Big Lots- Would definitely buy again and have :p
2. Gillette Shaving Cream- Would repurchase.
3. Neutrogena Loose Mineral Powder in shade 10- I love this product. I wear it almost everyday and sometimes a few times a day depending on my schedule. It has some coverage and does not cake on. I always wear it over my foundation and concealers.
4. Wet n Wild Grey Eyeliner- It is an average/ okay eyeliner. May consider purchasing it again in the future because of the price but have tried better.
5. Winter Bubble Bath- Would not repurchase. Did not do much for me. 
6. Loreal hair mask- the sample was small so can't say anything about it.
7. Elf 32 palette single eyeshadow- dark brown eyeshadow. Was average. I did not get a chance to finish it entirely by myself it cracked...

I am sooo happy to share this post with you because I have been working on these products for months now!  

The Aussie Mousse- I have used this product for about 4 months different it ran out. It was an okay hair  product and definitely not my favorite. I noticed towards the end of using this that it was drying my hair.

Bodycology Mist- I first purchased this because I wanted a cheap mist to wear to work. It was okay. Would not repurchase.

Elf Mineral Lipsticks- I HATE THESE. They have no color pay off and they come off so easily.

Elf $1 Lipstick- A bit drying, good pigmentation.
